Employer/Organization Registration Information

A range of employers and organizations are encouraged to attend the career fair. Hopkins graduate students and postdoctoral fellows perform diverse research, and are interested in many different types of careers (including consulting, academic administration, research in industry and government, science writing, teaching, patent law, and more!). If you have any questions about the different populations of PhD students or postdocs who attend this fair, or if you want to determine if this is the right event for your organization, please contact us at phd_recruit@jhmi.edu .

Registration Fee:

  • Employer/Organization Regular Registration: $300

  • Government Agencies and non-profit organizations:$250

Registration includes a 6' table and 2 chairs for the fair as well as lunch for 2 representatives. There is no additional charge for the optional roundtable networking sessions and/or interviews. There are additional fees for extra representatives and outlets.

Payment can be made by credit card or check - details about payment methods can be found during the registration process, and on the invoice you will receive once your registration is confirmed.

The Johns Hopkins Medical Institute includes over 2,000 PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows from the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing. The University of Maryland, School of Medicine has 700 Biomedical PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows. JHMI Postdoctoral Fellows conduct research in all medical school departments and gain a very translational training experience unique to Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. 

Our programs have a strong focus on medical innovation, translational research, and basic science. Additional PhD students and postdoctoral students completing research in the biological and physical sciences, as well as bioengineering disciplines from Johns Hopkins, Howard University and the National Institutes of Health have been invited to attend this event.

 In additional, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from our neighboring institutions Johns Hopkins University, Howard University and the National Institutes of Health, will also be invited. 

The Biomedical and Health Ph.D. Fair, sponsored by the Professional Development and Career Office (PDCO)  will be held in the Miller Research Building (MRB) in the MRB Prefunctory area/Turner Concourse.  A detailed map and directions will be sent to all registrants on August 11. For a map of the JHMI Campus click here .
